    Service Parking Brake notification

I have a 2018 Imagine 2150RB I pull with a 2022 Silverado LTD 5.3 and I've towed it problem free for 3200 miles. Everything works correctly on the truck and the trailer. On the last trip (1800 miles) a few miles after connecting the RV electrical cord to the truck I get a dash notification to service my parking brake and the symbol with the brake and wrench light up. I can hit OK and the notification goes away but the symbol stays illuminated. The truck parking brake will not engage when this happens until I turn off the truck for a few minutes then turn it back on. The fault notification will come back on after a few miles. I immediately get a text and email from Chevrolet notifying me of an anti lock brake fault. The truck and trailer brakes continue to work fine and after disconnecting the trailer there's no fault notification on the truck. The parking brake issue only happens when connected to the trailer.

Does anyone know what the heck is going on?

30 years RV-ing and 8 RVs and I've never had an issue like this.

It looks like this is your first post, welcome to the forum. Could there be some sort of short in your trailer brake wiring? Not enough to make the brakes fail, but enough to trigger the error. From what you've said, the error only appears when you've connected the trailer.

Could be a faulty brake controller unit. Is it OEM or aftermarket?

The trailer brake controller is built in OEM Chevrolet.

I get similar messages when the 7 Pin connector is wet and or dirty. A wipe down and a spray of contact cleaner has worked for me.

With my last Chevy, I was having the brake notification also, finally found some corrosion in the truck trailer plug. Also check the brake wiring around the axle/frame, and where it goes into the backing plate. Unfortunately very common for loose wires that chafe and intermittently ground out, causing the truck to have the brake errors.
