There's definitely a mix of replies which help's but doesn't solve my concern. Our friends just received their new Redwood 5er a Thor product and the island in their unit is pretty solid. Hopefully GDRV will send me the 375RE island diagram so I can figure out a fix for ours.

Almost seems like GD only anchored the unit with minimal size wood screws. Has anyone with a stand alone kitchen island in there unit felt the same issue and if so have you found a fix?
I see this was originally posted almost 2 years ago and hopefully your island movement issue has been resolved. If so, great! But maybe someone else has the same issue. I had been noticing my 303 island feeling unsteady and leaning toward the dinette side, so much so that if you sat in the rear sofa, one could easily see the difference compared to the front hutch. When checking further it was apparent that the dinette side was totally unattached from the base of the island and was free floating. I raised it to where it should be and cut a block of wood for the "toe kick" area of the island to hold it there. I then cut a 1 x 2 furring strip the length of the inside of the island and glued and screwed it to the dinette side island wall with the edge resting on the floor of the cabinet. (I verified that the screws were proper length and position and wouldn't come through the other side.) After allowing for drying time, I removed the block of wood temporarily holding the cabinet and it is rock solid. I mention this so that if anyone notices your island moving or feeling unstable, there might be a fairly easy solution.

    Hi Dennis,

This is a timely tip. I have noticed our island moving about more than it used to. Now that we are home, figuring out why this is happening is on my To-Do list. Thanks.

We had a 313 bumper pull in which the island loosed up. We could push just a little on the table side and it would raise completely off the floor. Took it to dealer and they had to re-install some screws. So far our 337 Reflection is ok...but only made one short trip with it. Knock on wood....argh..bad..

The island on our Reflection 303RLS is completely loose. I haven't thought about a fix for it yet. Is there a diagram of how it is attached?

I just discovered that my island is tilting toward the table. When I checked it’s easy to see that the side toward the stove has pulled away from the base. The whole unit can be moved slightly up and down! Anyone had this happen? Any fixes?

We had a loose island after returning from our trip to the East Coast this summer. I discovered that the island is actually two parts, the island itself and a pedestal that is sits on which also housed the heater ducts. There is very little connecting the two. Some staples around the edge and a 3/4" stick at each corner that runs from the pedestal to the counter top. In the forward left corner the stick had been cut away when a square hole was cut into the pedestal for the plumbing. My fix was not original as I borrow it from a Solitude owner on the site here (sorry can't remember who). I fabricated 4 legs for the island that sit between the island and the floor. They are epoxied to the under side of the island trim and I cut thin wood shims to go under the "short" leg as it is essentially a 4 legged stool.
