The trip will be in mid June planning on leaving the 15/16th of June and would need to be in Page Az by June 21st.

The idea would be:

Florida i10 through Mobile then US98-i59-US49 to catch i20 In Jackson Ms.
i20 through Dallas (night hours) to us 287 north to Amarillo
i40 west onto Page AZ.

My mapping software says 31 hours to Page AZ. With rest breaks and fuel stops I would be looking at 5 days of nearly 9 hours from leaving in the morning until my overnight stop. Not much sightseeing on the trip out with those distances per day.

Doing the math for 31 hours , it would take us 6 days at 5 hrs per day, probably 7 days. 5 days of 9 hrs would be 45 hours; but 9 hour days are way too long for us.

anyway - after 5 days of travel we need a rest, that's why we stay in Amarillo for 2 days. It sort of lets us catch our breath - and digest that steak we get at the Big Texan. This year we'll be leaving from Gulf Shores, so only 4 days of travel is planned to Amarillo.
