    Bathroom sink faucet runs continuously

    Hello,

All of a sudden my bathroom sink faucet is running continuously! And to make matters worse, its the "hot" water side.

The temporary partial fix was to shut the City Water off and use the Fresh Water tank.
I say "partial fix" because when I turn on the Water Pump, it starts running again ...but at least I can turn that on and off as necessary (flush the toilet, wash hands/dishes, and shower).

I've tightened the hose connection underneath the sink best I could, but that doesn't solve it.

    ...Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Could it be a faulty o-ring on your hot water valve?

Faucet issue. Your seal in the faucet has failed. Likely will need to replace the facuet unless a diaphragm is replaceable (never looked into it for our RV).

Agree with the assessment. Bad faucet. If it is the stock GD, doubtful it is fixable. New one will solve your problem.

Had to replace ours with a nice residential faucet already last fall. Didn't get to use it because we ended up trading in the RV.

    Thanks for the information, everyone!

I just looked up the Part for this on GD's Site, but did not see a price ...any clues?

I wouldn’t mess around getting one from GD, just go the the local home improvement store and buy one. They are pretty straight forward to replace or you could get a plumber or mobile RV tech to put it in if needed.

Yep, agree. We got ours from Lowe’s on sale for 39 bucks.

Thank all! However, I now have 3 or 4 questions related to that:

    1. If I purchase from a retail store, how do I know if I'm getting a correct match?

    2. Is there any video on how to replace this if I decide to do it myself?

    3. Finally, there is a lot of ugly corrosion (I assume calcium build-up?) I wonder if this had anything to do with the faucet failure?
After taking off the faucet, I should probably take advantage of scrubbing this. What are the best solutions?

There shouldn't be an issue with most faucets, but I would remove the old one and make certain the new one will fit with no issues.

There could be videos, but honestly it's a very straightforward job. Remove a couple/three nuts/fastneers, loosen the retaining nut and pull the old faucet out. A basin wrench will help immeasurably.

CLR does a very good job of removing calcium buildup. It's my go-to solution.
