We spent a night at the Big Texan RV Ranch last summer. Aside from the cheesy name, it was actually a good spot. We were towards the back, away from the interstate. Spot was gravel, but was wide with good shade. They have plenty of grassy space and two fenced areas for dogs. It's on the east side of town, which gets you away from the city a little. Was good since we were traveling eastbound.

I guess I should also mention Overnite campground, just east of Amarillo.
We stayed over for one of the worst nights ever at that place. Some fellow came back to his camper and someone was in it and threatened him with a gun, the cops came and there was a shootout, then the camper burned with the burglar still in it and there were a couple of hundred rounds that cooked off. The owner had warned the firemen so they held back until the shrapnel stopped flying before they put it out. All this about 15 feet from our site. We were lucky to have no damage.2022 Reflection150 226RK

FYI... there is a "Muli-Quote" function. It's the button with the "+" sign to the right of "Reply With Quote." Click on the multiple posts you want to quote at one time (you'll see a check mark) and then click "Reply With Quote."

We stayed at Oasis RV Park, Amarillo this past summer. New place, lots of room and, if I recall correctly, mostly pull throughs. It's west of Amarillo, right off the freeway, but not close enough for a lot of noise. And real convenient to Cadillac Ranch (just down the road).
