We arrived at the dealership right on time, thanks to a very large load that went up the mountain at 25 mph occupying both lanes. After a quick trip to the necessary we went right out to the trailer and did a walk-thru. Found two issues, which were corrected on the spot.

We didn't bring a lot, just enough for a couple of days - just in case. Jo Ann is having fun trying to figure out where everything in the kitchen will go.

After reading the discussion about greasing the suspension I made sure to ask about that. It seems that we have a no-lube system. I'm supposed to spray it with a silicon spray every few months or so. Does that sound right? I'm too tired to spend a lot of time digging through all the books we got tonight, but I'll see what I can see.

The trailer seems to bounce when we're walking around in it. I suspect that maybe the stabilizers aren't as tight as they ought to be. I'll ask in the morning.

We've found a couple more issues in the hour or so we've been in the trailer and will talk to the dealer tomorrow about them. The biggest one that has all of us confused is the rear-view camera. We haven't been able to get it to pair with my phone. I'll see what I can find in the bag of books, but if anyone has any suggestions I'd be glad to hear from you.

    Bought it!

For the rear camera (Furrion version at least) to work the trailer lights (headlights on) usually need to be on via the 7 way plug connected to the truck. It likely won’t pair if it isn’t powered up. Good luck and take your time.

We got the camera to pair and work a bit while at the dealership this morning, but when I actually needed it this afternoon it wouldn't work. Yes, the truck headlights were on. We'll continue to study the manual.

This is a pretty long rig and definitely puts the camera to its limits. Sometimes ours is a bit buggy and goes in and out. Ask the dealership if they would be willing to swap the unit to see if it’s bad.

We purchased the Furion at the dealer and liked it ok, not much issue. But frankly I liked the idea of having he camera show up on the truck display rather than yet another thing hanging on the wind shield. Love the Ford set up. Either way, at 60’ tip to tail, the camera is a MUST!

Gabby, are you saying that there is a camera that I can put on the tail of the trailer and see it on the truck display? That would be great! Remember that I have a 2016 F350 and you have a 2021, so there may be some changes made between mine and yours.

I’m not sure how far back it’s compatible. The set up is pretty simple though. I just had to swap out the 7-pin plug on the bumper with or that came with the kit from Ford and has both the 7-pin and an additional plug receptacle for the single combined camera, tire pressure, and yaw cable. I didn’t spring for the yaw sensor, but am loving the trailer tire pressures showing in the DIC and back up camera showing in the main entertainment screen just like the tailgate picture does.

Also had to run the cable on the trailer, mount the camera and tire pressure sensor and take the tires to Discount Tire to get the included in stem devices installed.

May be worth asking Ford about.

As a side note I have a slightly used Furrion camera with the larger screen in the truck if anyone is interested for half current price plus shipping.

It would be best to start your own thread in the Miscellaneous Items For Sale subforum.
