Mat for Pass through Storage Area and Cabinet Shelf Paper Suggestions Please

I have had good luck with a couple cheap yoga mats in the basement.

Same here - need to slide the rubbermaid containers. The only place I installed the diamond mat was in the front compartment under the batteries - just to keep them a little more from slipping around.

I used a left over piece of rubber horse stall mat under the batteries. Those stall mats are thick. And very heavy. But, I already had it, so in it went.

I agree with Rob in that I want my stuff to slide out as easily as it would on the factory linoleum floor. So, I went to the Home Depot and purchased a roll of "remnant" linoleum which happened to be a pretty good match to what was already there and laid it down over the top of the existing flooring. It can take any damage for a few years and get replaced as necessary.

I used cardboard cut to fit up the walls a bit in our last coach. It took the abuse and things slid well.

Thanks for your inquiry, but look on YouTube and search DIY RV STORAGE DRAWER. It is quite detailed. I followed his plan but needed to adapt sizes to fit in my Paradigm 310RL.

We use these mats from IKEA. The protect the pass through and still let the plastic bins slide in and out.

I added thin but tough indoor/outdoor carpet. Stapled down in just enough spots to make it lay flat. So far, the 6 months of use and 5 trips, seems to work flawlessly.
