    Old news
At the end of the day has there ever been a case litigated in court where a person in a course of personal use was sued from being overweight?
There is 250,000 civil cases a year in the USA and more than third of them are over vehicle accidents and exceeding insurance medical limits. I can even find even thousands of court outcome of those case on the internet either.

I have the Docket number of the case I sat on as jury member that a lifted truck and mud tires couldn't stop and hit car pushed it into oncoming traffic and could not find out the final outcome on. What I did learn from that trial is the if you use different tires than what the manufacture recommends you are responsible for insuring the tires are safe to operate on public highways.

    I've never bought a non DOT approved tire...they say it's safe...so I'm probably good.

Both the 350 DRW and the 450 DRW have the same listed as 14,000 GVWR to keep them as a class 3 trucks. The 450 weighs a lot more than the 350 due to bigger brakes, axles, springs, tires etc. Payload is difference between GVWR and Empty weight. While on paper the 450 GVWR is 14,000 but arguably it’s capable of more than that.
