    Faucet getting stiff

My kitchen faucet lever is getting stiff to operate. Sprayed some silicon which did not help. Any suggestions or guidelines for disassembly and lubricating? Thanks.

I can't help you with disassembly, but once you get it apart if it's only a lubrication issue, this works well:

There's a set screw (Allen, if I remember correctly) on the bottom side of the handle. You can then access the retainer nut for the cartridge and the whole thing will come out. Use plumber's silicone grease on the mating surfaces. Take photos at each step as you take it apart - I've had trouble getting everything back in these cartridges correctly.

Rob. Behind the handle is a thin blue plastic ring around the white plastic cartridge, that looks like it should screw off/out. Would not budge with channel locks. Kind of messed up the plastic ring trying. Put back together and thinking when it’s time I’ll just put a whole new fixture in. Any further thoughts or ideas.

It's been a while but, if I recall, everything just pulls straight out after the retaining nut is removed - your model may be different. At any rate, I've replace the Dura RV kitchen faucet in both of our rigs (the Reflection and the Solitude) with a name brand faucet so I can get parts.

Definitely replace with a residential when the time comes. Just be conscious of the style of neck in consideration of rambling down the road. I went with a Moen where you can find cartridge maintenance kits and full replacements pretty much anywhere there's a hardware store.

Would recommend running some kind of water softner too.... we have since new and have had no issues with OEM fixtures what so ever in our 5er. Still work and look brand new.
