Our nights usually go like this.

    Wife does dishes.
    One of us showers.
    The other showers.

    Usually all within 45 mins.
We've never run out of hot water, though we keep our showers fairly short. That's typically only running on electric. We can enable propane to speed the recovery time but haven't ever needed it.

With 6 people, the propane plus electric would get it done IMO.

We are so excited to take it out for a trial weekend.
I have had a 6, 8,,10, and 12 gallon WH. Never ran out of hot water with any of them, an that was running just on propane. Being in a campground with elec. you could heat with both at the same time.
