Sorry, @Rgpracer - still belongs in the tire subforum. Cross-posted threads merged and moved to Tires. (Most folks follow the New Posts feed and see everything, anyway.)

Now, they tell me that there are bubbles in the tires....wanted them off my camper from the onset, now, might have a good reason.
What tires do you guys run, like and dislikes, and maybe what to stay away from.

    Thanks
When we picked up our camper, it came with Westlake's. After a few months of research, I replaced them with Sailun S637 trailer tires. Although made in China, the Sailun's have a great reputation on the forums. It is a LRG tire and is rated for 110 PSI. I run mine at 90 psi and they do well. I have about 38,000 miles on them and will probably replace them in the Spring - not necessarily due to wear but due to age. As someone else mentioned, they are heavy tires, but they are unsprung weight so it doesn't impact the carrying capacity of the camper. When I replace them, I'm going back to Simple Tire and ordering another 4. Just checked, and 4 tires are running a smidge under $800. Mounting and balancing will be an additional cost.

Tim, two things, do you get them balanced and where is Simple Tire?
    Thanks for the reply.

Hi Msgt - Simple Tire is an online retailer and the offer free shipping to an installation shop of your choice. They also offer an extra 5% discount to vets. I believe they are located in Pennsylvania.

I had mine shipped to a Firestone store in Wake Forest and it was $25 to mount and balance each tire. Not sure what the install price would be these days.

Another suggestion - make sure you have high pressure wheels that will take the high pressure of the Sailun's if you go that route. Mine were fine and since we have similar campers, I would think yours would be too. But still check. Also, whoever mounts them should put in high pressure valve stems.

    Check out the website: Simpletire.com

Tons of good information on the S637's, specs, etc. Happy hunting.

Don't bother balancing them if they can't do a lug-centric balance. Which 95% of places can't do. Most wheels mount centered on the hub ring. Trailer tires mount using the lugs to center the wheels. You can likely see space around the center ring of the wheel. The problem arises when the lugs aren't exactly centered on the hub ring. Then the tire balanced with the center hole may not be balanced when mounted on the trailer. Just a FWIW. I'm going to give the Centramatic system a shot and see how it goes.
