Sadly, because of the Ford design solenoid relay for the grid heater sticking.

And there is also an Aisin TSB out for 2022-2023 for the K1 Clutch Snap Ring Repair. If the snap ring breaks, trans is toast. Believe the TSB # is TSB 21-002-23.
Apparently can also affect earlier model years if the Aisin has been replaced under warranty with a 'new' build Aisin.Last edited by ajg617; 02-22-2023 at 03:34 PM.

Don't forget the lug nut torque setting recall. Although that does cover my old truck too.

I feel absolutely ancient pulling with a 3rd Gen '05, but I bought the truck new and it only has 100K on the odometer. Stays in the garage when not hooked to the trailer, and honestly looks new without a scratch.
I can't tell you how many times I've thought about replacing it with a new one, but it has never had a recall or a significant issue. Every time I read about the major issues some folks are having with newer trucks I feel I maight be making a good decision.2020 Reflection 273MK

Lol! You 3rd Gen is the last generation before the power of the almighty bean counter and EPA... Think about it, recalls mentioned above are literally the result of using ridiculous old tech that had the issue in its original application, and a snap ring that's literally pennies. Either are resulting in major loss... The wrong torque printed in owners and service manual as the result of cutting proofing/editor expense, but the OE lugnuts for most years affected marked properly. One would have thought the recall would have been years sooner given RAMs were notorious for broken studs. Now, what generates the most costly repairs? Failure of the emissions systems, which if you evaluate from a mass balance perspective do nothing at all for the environment, and, very rationally, can be demonstrated to actually have a greater negative impact on the earth. Feel good versus do good...

We loved our 02 Ram 2500 but it just didn't have the payload cap that we needed and the 5.7 Cummins was great but the 6.7 in our 18 Ram 3500/Aisin is excellent and is clicking over 80K miles. neither one of our Rams has ever given us any major problem. But man am I glad we have a 2018.
Oh, and by the way, pin 4 of the 7 way is hot all the time, nothing stupid like having to have the engine running and truck in gear before it goes hot. Another thread on the forum made me think of this.Last edited by Steven@147; 02-23-2023 at 05:31 AM.

It may be of little consolation, but at least it's warranty and there are AISINs available in the parts network that have been corrected. Earlier, folks were without their truck for months when no replacements were available, and then before the failure problem identified were getting replacements that failed again the same way!
