How do you secure the Patio Rails when Loading?

Hi Everyone, I am new to the forum and just completed the purchase of a New 2022 Momentum 350G Toy Hauler. Extremely happy with the 350G so far - 3 days in - but ran into a situation when setting it up over the weekend. The Patio Rails appear to be free to swing in or out when the ramp is down in the loading position. Is there a way to lock them in place while loading or has anyone come up with a way to secure them so they are not swinging in the wind while I'm trying to load my motorcycles into the garage??

Really hoping someone has a good solution for this as I'm not seeing a clean way to keep them open and locked while in the loading position.

Look forward to hearing how the other members have solved this situation.
    Thanks,
    Tyler

It's been discussed regarding several models, but no clean, Oh Wow, solution. I use a couple of bungee cords and Peggy. A quick latched and unlatched securing device would be cool.

Thanks, I am working on training the dog to hold one side and um, my wife to hold the other. Was hoping someone created a latch system already. I have a couple ideas that I will post up once I have a working model. I guess as a last resort you could take them off, but that would be a pain...

Thanks for the link - I did a search before posting thinking SOMEONE had to have the same question

Clamp and bungees seem to be the current solution. I'll investigate more and if I come up with something I'll be sure to post it up.

I used the cables and did my best with them. Heavier winds would be a major pain in the butt though.

Ok, came up with a pretty good setup for holding the Patio Rails in place while the ramp is down.

Purchased 2 sets of Rider Cargo Tie Down Rings - https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p...e-down-rings-p

Attached one to bolt on ramp door where the cable connects and the other to the bolt holding the foot of the patio rail in place. After that i created a Turnbuckle hook which is great but doesn't have any give so I bought a pair of 24" rubber bungees and tied a knot in it to shorten the length. Provides easier connection and give, plus it's adjustable in case you are loading on a slope.
