    Outside TV Mounting Imagine 2670MK

Hello, we just purchased an Imagine 2670mk which has a sat/cable outlet and power outlet outside directly behind the televator area on the interior. There does not appear to be a metal backer in this area to place a tv mount in that area. My question is what is the best way to mount this to the outside of the trailer and not compromise the structure and support the weight. I purchased a Mount-IT tv mount from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which came with two mounts and I plan when we are traveling to simply take the tv from the bedroom mount and then hang it on the outside mount when we want to watch tv outside. Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Jonny

Sorry, I read it as pretty snide remark.

I did this very thing on another trailer and had no problems. As long as the TV you plan to use is not big, the static weight should be supported if you attach your mount to the aluminum structure in the side wall. Then use plenty of 100% silicone sealer on each hole between the mount and sidewall and under/around the heads of the screws. Since the TV will never be on the mount when moving, there’s no dynamic load, so little stress. However, the mount you shown allows the TV to be extended out from the sidewall on an arm way too far, in my opinion, which could apply more bending force on the mount than I’d be comfortable applying. I’d keep the TV arm folded close to the wall, not fully extended.

Thanks Rabbit, good advice. Yes, will not be using the TV extended outside. Just using that in the bedroom.
