    7.3 l Godzilla

Is there anyone towing with an F350 with a 7.3 SRW LB? I’m trying to figure out what the GVWR is. I have heard 11,000, 11,500, & 12,000. I have even asked the dealer and believe or not they say they don’t know.

If there’s anyone who has a SRW, long bed, lariat model or higher, I would really appreciate knowing what your available payload is.

    Thanks

This is for a SB Lariat Ultimate with 5th wheel prep, box liner and moonroof.

LB will be north of this figure.

Thanks. That’s what I was looking for. I’m thinking about ditching my diesel for a gasser. I only tow 35-40 days out of the year with a 8500lb TT. Getting hard to justify the cost of diesel and maintenance.

Why are you concerned about payload and diesel with a 2800bh?
I assumed you had a bigger trailer

Yeah, I went from a solitude to the 2800BH.

Gas mileage would be way better with the diesel and oil changes are at 15K miles per service manual. Not to speak of resale value.
    No Way!
    Don't get a gasser.

I think if you only tow 10% of the year a gas engine is fine, especially if you're pulling an Imagine. I suppose depends where you tow since you'd be losing the exhaust break and the turbo, both which are very helpful in the mountains. I'm sure the 10 speed does help somewhat with mountain towing. You won't win any races going up steep grades, bit you'll still get to the top. Really gotta do what's best for you. I prefer diesel also for the convenience of using truck stops, but I also have a 40'+ trailer. Could you find someone in your area who has a 7.3 and see if you can do a test run with the trailer?

On a side note, I think the long beds have higher payload, and gives you more room. To store camping stuff.
