Question Need TT/TV transport from NY to WI...how?

I'm not sure where to put this question, so if General Discussion isn't appropriate, please tell me.

I'm in a fix. Due to extreme weather, a leaking roof and a missing sway bar, my travel plans have gone out the window. Before I go searching the entire Internet, maybe someone here has suggestions for arranging transport of a rig (truck and TT) long distance. I don't know where to start and time is a factor.

My rig is in Buffalo, NY. I have to leave it here and fly home to Florida - tomorrow. I had plans to go up to Toronto for an event on the 22nd and then travel to Wisconsin. I'll spare further details - it's a mess - but one way or another I need to get my rig to Wisconsin, after the roof seam gets resealed and a new sway bar arrives.

I'm at the end of my rope, trying to let go of plans and settle on what needs to be done. My rig and I can't be in the same places (plural) I need to be in the next 10 days. I was going to leave it in open storage for 5 days, until the roof leak. I don't know yet how soon a sway bar can be delivered (nobody has in stock).

    Help?

Has anyone hired a driver or service? Suggestions where to start?

You could probably get it on a flatbed, most likely would be quite pricey.

It figures things would change immediately after I post. I managed to move my trip to Florida until after the 22nd. A little breathing space, but still very likely I need to have my rig moved for me, in case I can't make the drive myself.

So, my question still stands, but I have a little more time to arrange transport.

Are there any RV dealers close by you could call? They may have a list of transporters or know of other resources for you.

You could use a transporter, but they won't drive your truck.

They will take the trailer, no problem, but you will have to figure out how to get the truck back.

This is why I need this community. Because sometimes I'm not thinking about the obvious. Great suggestion. Thanks!

Based in Indiana, do they service the whole country or just certain regions?

They will go anywhere and haul to/from anywhere.

They have driver's from every area of the country. They would just run them as a back haul.

They will give you a quote with no obligation.

We had to do this when our TV caught on fire (long story) - basically, Indiana Transport (or any of the other companies you can find online) will connect you (for a fee) to an independent driver who you will pay directly for the haul. It was (IIRC) ~ $2000 cash or +5% credit to move our Momentum 380TH from central TX to the Colorado Springs area.

    Good luck!

I recommend you check out Uship. You build a profile and explain exactly what you need to have done. I assisted a friend move her 41 foot Montana from Arizona to South Dakota this spring. Once you post your job, shippers will bid, and you can check out their profile, Insurance, and timeline. I’ve done this three times and been successful each time.
