    Full-time in Southeast Alaska

Coming up on a year full-timing in Juneau, AK in our 2022 22RBE. It’s been a GREAT year!

Skirted with Hardie board before winter and we have to run a dehumidifier full-time given that SE AK is a temperate rainforest, which translates into lots(!) of moisture. The trailer seems well-insulated compared to our neighbors. We haven’t moved the trailer, so apart from the drive up from Georgia, we’ve been stationary.

Had to replace a thermal cutoff on the water heater, but apart from that, all systems nominal. Heated seats on the loveseat are awesome…general layout of the trailer has worked great for me, my wife, and our Siberian Husky. Exterior has held up well against the elements. The factory mattress is getting a little tired.

We drop the thermostat to 50 when we leave town, mainly to keep some heat in the underside. Set it at 65 during waking hours when we’re home and 58 overnight. Heater doesn’t seem to run much unless OAT is below 28 F or so. Lowest OAT we’ve had is 0 F with winds gusting to 30 mph, but the trailer was still comfy.

Heated hose for water supply and wrapped the drain line with pipe heater, which we turn on when it’s below 30 outside.

Such a great company and product!!!
