A lot of times it's the combo that makes for a rougher ride on rougher surfaces. Every TT/5er and truck I've towed with had some bucking/chucking/porposing on rougher roads. There are certain setups where there's barely any rough ride. Those are the setups to buy. When a guy comes on and says my setup tows great, then thats the one to buy. LOL. IMO it has to do with the wheelbase of the truck/trailer, weights and suspension condition and dimensions of each.
All my setups were loaded correctly and the trucks were all within spec and I still got a rough ride on occasion.

Hello All, new to the group and will be purchasing a Reflection 150 226rk. My tow vehicle is a 2020 Ram 2500 crew cab. I reached out to Gen Y and they responded with a model number that directly replaces the Curt Turning Point pin box. I also reached out to Grand Design and received this:

Thanks for considering Grand Design RV and our Reflection 150 Series. The Curt Turning Point kingpin should not be replaced with a gooseneck. This is not recommend by the frame manufacturer Lippert Component and will void the 3 year warranty. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

My goal was to use the Gen Y goosebox with the B&W gooseneck hitch so that I could have my bed clear when not using the 5th wheel. I may be looking at a conventional 5th wheel hitch now.

Thanks for the update @FenderDog, and welcome to the forum. Yes, there aren't many choices when one is using the turning point pin box that comes with the 150 series units. We have ours locked and use the Andersen hitch, a great combo for us.

Planning to lock mine out and using a B&W Companion in the factory puck system. From all that I’ve read it should work fine.

According to their ad, the Reese Air Borne will replace a Turning Point -see link below. I don’t have firsthand knowledge but it might be worth a call.

I recently installed a Reese Air Borne Sidewinder on my Reflection 303 - replaced my non-air Sidewinder. Unfortunately I had shoulder surgery shortly after and haven’t been able to try it. Hoping it will help.
