    Thanks for the quick reply.

I will have my son assist me with the hitch. Also, am I correct to assume that the bearing is at 3.5" or less in diameter? I want to ensure I order the right size device for the grease packer.

Do you recall the size of the nut? I want to make sure I have the right size socket or wrench.

    It’s a 1 1/2”
I found that using a big pair of channel locks helped to bend the cotter pin tightly around the nut too. It needs to be snug on there just like when you found it.

So, I asked this in the towing sub-forum, but do people typically tow with the pivot at the pin or the camper when using a turning point? I feel like it must create a bit of sway or oddness, but all the videos on it just show how to use it, not any towing down the road stuff. And I assume it's not something you just unlock when you get to a site that needs it, etc.

We have ours set up with the wedge at the truck end and the pivot at the camper end. I have never heard of anyone changing the pivot point during a trip because that involves removing the wedge, lining up the hitch to the trailer and installing a couple of bolts, a lot of messing around to do that. It tows without sway or oddness of any type. It works just fine.

Good to know on the towing experience. I'd hate to get a 5th wheel that's supposedly easier to tow, only to find it's not easier to tow.
