    Propane hookup

    Hi All,
I have an auxiliary propane outlet on my Imagine. Can this be hooked directly to a portable grill? I have read opinions that say no and others that say yes. The dilemma is that there would be two gas regulators in the gas line. The first one is built into the trailer....the second is on the portable grill.

Not if the grill has a regulator on it. It would already be a low pressure line.

Depending on what grill you use, there are adapters to get rid of the regulator on it.

You have to remove the regulator from the grill.

Depending on your grill, this one may work. I picked one up for my Weber Q1200 but I'm thinking I like the portability of using the 1 lb tanks more.

I use the 1 lb bottles as well, and I'll stay that route. Sometimes the picnic table I clamp my grill to is too far away from the trailer. And there is nothing to trip over.

I agree. Nice to have the grill close to my seat near (but not too near) the fire or in a shady spot with a view so I can relax while things are cooking. Also have been known to haul it in the truck for lunch on day trips while camping.

I’m guilty of crimes against humanity, because I refill the little bottles.

Me too. I've been refilling for over 30 years. Not the same bottles though lol. Here's my set-up. I use the grill I had on my boat.
