Piece of slide seal came off
When we brought our dining room slide in today we noticed a piece of rubber curled up under slide, piece is about 4x 4 inches. it was just loose and appears to look like it tore off the corner area. We now can see daylight in the front corner of slide when closed. The corner by the door. I was really hoping not to have to take it back to the dealer, and sure do not want to attempt this this close to the up coming rally. What should I do is this something I can replace myself or am I out of luck. Possibly could this get fixed at the rally?

Our 29RS did the same thing. Found a piece of rubber on the floor and another piece on the ground outside. Can't see any light coming through though. Seems it was from an additional piece of rubber attached at the lower corners.

Since you're going to the rally, see if GD will fix it there.

I am hoping I can have it done while at the rally, just have to wait and see what GD has to say. I will just have to stuff something in that area to keep outside elements outside. Worried about bugs, mice etc.

Got a phone call from Brad at Grand Design, He is sending me the corner seal for my unit. I asked about what might be causing the problem, and he indicated that we could take a look at it at the rally. Now that is why we bought these units because of the outstanding service. Bravo GD and Brad!

If you can't get it attached before the rally, you can cut a piece of pipe insulation to fit and stuff it in so you don't see light.

Got my corner seals from Brad and installed them, there still seems to be something going on in the corners of dining room slide. the outer seals at the corners behind the corner pieces are still tearing and there seems to be a lot of excess material. I know there is another seal behind these but it just seems like there is too much going on in these corners causing them to tear about 3 inches in. I am still hoping to get these look at at the rally and maybe check some others out to see if what I have in unique.
