    Schwintek Gap When Slide Closed

On our 2022 Reflection 280RS, when the kitchen slide is in there is a noticeable gap at the floor level beside the entrance door. It looks as though the slide hasn't retracted completely even though I faithfully hold the button for 3-5 seconds after the unit is fully in. The seals are touching outside however when you look down at the outside plastic wheel well trim beside the front door it looks as though there is a gap. I have read on the forum about gaps when open in the same area. Has anyone else experienced this when closed? Wasn't sure if this was normal as I would think when in staorage that would invite the mice in. I did see the suggestions about brass wool but would prefer it be completely sealed.

It looks like they shorted the seal some, have you sent the pictures to Grand Design yet?

Nope, not normal. Did it ever align properly? If it once did, then the slide may need synchronization. Try extending the slide about 6 inches, then bringing it back in and holding for 5 seconds. Do this several times. Then fully extend the slide. Now bring it in 6 inches, take it back out holding for 5 seconds. Again, do it several times. Now bring in the slide, it should be better synchronized.

If it's a seal issue as Marcy suggested, a call to GD Customer Service is in order.
