I know in the past when I worked for GM and GM dealers---if you came in and wanted a key cut....you had to show the vehicle registration and your ID before the dealer would cut the key for this reason. I'm guessing that's not happening now of the process has been compromised like everything else.

You can buy RFID pouches or bags on amazon. Faraday bags will also protect from EMP Electomagnetic Pulses. But that is a whole new rabbit hole.

Great for drinks and socializing! All kidding aside, its a great deterent both visually and security wise. Almost as good as a wheel boot for immobilizing a vehicle.

A simple bolt cutter to cut through the steering wheel makes short work of The Club.

Except that is not how 90% of the truck thefts work.
Being in Texas we see it daily and it is always from motel parking lots or event center parking areas.
They come in, jam the lock to gain access, then they have a process to start the truck with the keyless system.
If the truck has the Club or some other deterrent they usually pass it up for easier prey.
