We don’t do much hiking as my arthritis prevents going very far. Just looking for ideas from those who have been there as to where to go and what see and what to do. We will have 6 weeks available.
We spent a couple weeks there last fall. Top items include:
1) Kitch-iti-kipi: stay at Indian Lake state park in Manistique (try to get site backing up to water)
2) Shipwreck Museum of the Great Lakes (just north of Taquamonon Falls)
3) Painted Rocks National Lakeshore (take the boat ride)
4) Marquette: City park - jump of Black Rocks into lake
5) Brimley state park - watch ships going in to Soo Locks
6) Soo Locks - viewing platform to see ships
