2" high is not too bad. I'd rather have that and maintain that 7" bed rail clearance............or split the difference with 6" clearance.

With my 2022 F350 I had to switch to 16" tires (235/80/16) I wanted to go to 235/85/16 but was concerned with clearance, to get close to level. I am now replacing axles (7K 3.5" tube with 6K hub to get the 6 on 5.5 bolt pattern), and going to 3500lb 6 leaf springs which should get me 1" higher to be able to tow level with 6-7" bed rail clearance - ill know after the axle replacement. I was 1.5" nose high on my Alaska trip and managed to bend the axles - rear more than the front, so nose high towing can hurt things. Also more tire wear on rear axle, so keep a look out.

Hi Dryfly. This is exactly what I've been looking into. We have a 2021 150 Series Reflection 260 RD, pulling it with a 2012 F250 Super duty. We run a tad nose high. So I looked into putting 16 inch wheels/tires on which would raise the trailer a little over an inch, giving the rear levelers more clearance in the back and making the rig more level overall. Did you have any issues when you converted before? Thanks.

We are towing a 230RL on 15" wheels with a 2015 Ram 2500 4X2. Everything rides level without modifying anything. I believe GD either raised the suspension or increased the height of the overhang ... or a combination of both to respond to the tall trucks now on the market. (Our 2015 Ram sits about 3" higher than our 2003 Ram did. Bit of a surprise when we bought it and we had to raise the suspension of our previous trailer to match.)

I have a 2022 F-350 SB with 18” tires on it. My 150 series runs pretty level. I use the B&W Companion in the high setting and it’s fine. Click image for larger version.

Glad it worked out for you, wish I was so lucky but even my 2000 F250 towed ours a bit nose high. Enough to wear the back trailer tires more than the fronts. The new truck bed is 2.5" taller than the old one unloaded.

Looks like we have close to the same truck. What hitch are you using in yours?

Curt 16k at it's lowest setting. I have about 7" clearance between the trailer and the bed rails, which are 4" higher than the old truck, from the ground.
