Okkkkk......and how does that make you an authority on diesel engines? Did I miss something? Were you a powertrain engineer, test technician, or an assembler? I worked for GM/Delphi Engineering too so did allot of my friends. I also was the lead mechanic for GMC, Cadillac, and Pontiac.....but that's irrelevant if we are talking diesels and why 6K miles is not enough. The worst thing for diesels is short tripping them...I have never heard of a min mileage requirement for them.

I didn't say the Travel Trailer was 9-10K lbs....I think that is more like 5-6K...it's a Lance twin axle maybe like 21'. The race trailer/car hauler is not enclosed and is prob like 22' with a 3500 lb car on it plus some tools.... It's an open car hauler..... and he makes consistent trips from CO to UT with it..... He is part of the Street Outlaws racing circuit.

Can someone make sense of this? GM has put sticker on the door jam of the new trucks that state payload but also states max Trailer Weight and Max Tongue Weight. On the sticker below it has 1911 payload which normally I would say it would enough for 1200 pound tongue weight just watch how much stuff you carry in your truck. But the sticker clearly states Max Tongue Weight of 950 pounds. Anyone know why it's the low. It also states that 9500 pound trailer and 950 tongue weight is just 10% of 9500 pounds. To say within the 950 pound trailer tongue weight and have a 12.5% tongue weight you limited to RV around 7600 pounds max. ?????????
What the sticker say on the OP truck state?Last edited by CWSWine; 03-20-2023 at 06:33 PM.
