This falls into the category of "if you need the precision/specifics of a high end version of the tool then you probably already know the brand(s) you should consider". If you have to ask the question, get a relatively cheap one at a big box store and it'll more than cover your needs.

I have the Harbor Freight one also. Several YouTube videos out that shows they are as accurate as other major brands.

Just remember to wind down the torque back to "zero" after using it.

And many torque wrenches don't like being used as a breaker bar. They should only be used to tighten nuts/bolts, not loosen.

I have no issue with using my HF torque wrench for wheels, but tried using it at the low end of the scale (12 ft lbs) and could see quickly it was not clicking at correct setting. Was going to allow me to strip threads in an aluminum differential cover.

That's why I have three torque wrenches. A 1/2' drive 50-250 ft.lbs, a 3/8" drive 5-80 ft.lbs., and a 1/4" drive 20-200 in.lbs. TBH, I rarely use a torque wrench for low torque ratings, i.e. anything under about 25 ft.lbs.

Same here. I have all 3, from Harbor Freight. I also have a 1/2" Drive Craftsman that I keep in the garage with the HF 3/8" and the 1/4" are in the garage. The HF 1/2" is in the 5th wheel. In checking the Craftsman against the HF, I found no difference in "feel" on the torque.
