Maiden voyage in our new 23lde

Took it out for a night at the coast. Very happy so far. When I towed it home from the dealer, did not like the way it towed, felt light on the tongue. Double checked the install of the Anderson hitch and torqued the bolts properly. Got most of our camping stuff loaded in and headed for the coast. Towed a whole lot better to the point of feeling comfortable doing 60mph. For me, that's pretty good. Good water pressure from the pump with good flow. Furnace was not to loud running in the night, Fridge worked great, just have to see about battery use. Dealer had installed the AGMs but did not change controller over, took care of that. Noticed no edge trim on the refer shelves so might put some on. Still need to find a suitable towel holder for the bathroom. The wife loves the kitchen space and counter space. We both like the fact that in the main living area, you have windows on three sides. Other that the fresh water tank being a little small, really do like the layout and so far am really happy with the quality of Grand Design.

Glad everything went well. If they had the 23lde when we bought our 22mle we would of had a hard time to choose.

Glad to hear you had a good time on your maiden voyage, the 23LDE has a very attractive layout, very cozy for two.

Congrats! Glad to hear news from fellow LDE owners.

I’m very jealous! We’re still a month away before we pick ours up!

Coming from a tent trailer, the LDE will feel like a palace! Lol!

Congrats on your new trailer. We just picked our 23 LDE (traded in our 19 RLE) and have it at home preparing for warmer weather and figuring out where things should go. We too are looking at a place to hang our towels in the bathroom. Anyone have any ideas on where they can be placed? The original poster has the same question.

We ended up putting a towel holder for hand towels on the wall between the bath and bedroom. Bath towels we are just throwing over the shower door rod. Not the best solution but if there is no wall space, there is no wall space.

Thanks for that. It is a challenge to find space on the walls of this beautiful trailer. Even thought of Command hooks in the bedroom for towels but clutter and damp towels ... not a great ambience.

On our 2950RL, we put over-the-door hangers on the bedroom door, inside the bedroom.

Out of the way, plenty of air circulation to dry and reachable from the bath.

Another great idea. That's why I love this forum. So many creative ideas.

    Towels Solved

We solved our towel problem by placing Command hooks (towel variety) on the bathroom wall facing the bedroom. One on each side of the doorway. Seems to work.
