Everlite fireplace will not come on

Our Everlite fireplace will not turn on. It started acting up a while back causing you to have to push the button several times. It has gradually gotten worse until now it will not come on at all. The breaker is fine and I tried the remote but still will not come on. Any suggestions?

A wild guess would be that the controller board has failed. These fireplaces are cheaply made and considered a disposable commodity. You don't say what year your RV is - is the warranty still in effect?

    2020 295 Reflection

Thanks for the reply. I pulled the unit out after I posted the message and unplugged and replugged it and it is now working but every now and then it takes a couple times to come on. Getting a battery for remote to rule out switch rather than board.

Our Greystone has a problem with the over temp coupler. It gets too hot and trips the over temp, I just cycle the AC circuit breaker and it resets. Like Rob said they are pretty much throwaway. I haven't bothered to try and find parts for it.
