Since my trailer tires are rated for it, actually above, 75 mph in perfect conditions. But usually less than that, 60-70.

With my F-350 diesel dually, I typically run at 64 MPH. With a 3.80 axle that gives me 1750 RPM which is peak torque for this motor. I consistently get 11-12 MPG pulling my 379fl on flat(ish) terrain. I take over on the hills. Unloaded I can average around 18-19 and I still rarely exceed 65 mph. With 135,000 miles on the truck and 35,000 on the trailer this has worked out well with no significant repairs to either...just regular maintenance. I'm retired and in no hurry. Safe Travels.

As I get older I find it is easer on my body to stay around 300 to 350 miles per day. I still travel 60 to 65 mph. Much more than 300 miles and it takes me 3 days to recover. We are lucky to be retired so we are in no great hurry. I like to get out about every 2 hours to stretch and let the dog do his thing.

I'm with you there, although about every 3 hours for a break, which is fuel time anyway, or close to it. My butt starts bothering me any more than 3 hours at a time

This is the reason I like my 48 gallon tank. However, my wallet hates the 48 gallon tank at fill time!

I know, my butt falls asleep and starts snoring.

I am not old but I have a disease that makes me feel like I am 90. I go 60 mph and try to do about 3 to 4 hours a day resting up as I go.

I think it is not the speed but how you drive too. Many people drive as if they aren't towing anything. Fast lane changes, not giving enough room while turning, etc. Always a good time to see someone slam into a lane and the trailer wants to keep going.

As an over the road truck driver for 45 years and a 5th wheel camper puller for 22 years please drive at least the speed limit. If you can't do the speed limit safely it is probably time to give it up! Sorry

When in my Mustang GT/CS, I do see the speed limit as a minimum, no lie.
But when towing, I see it as a maximum...

I don't go above 65 when I tow and if that happens to be on an interstate with a 75 limit I'm still not going above 65.

Since I'm Canadian that means I stay around 100 km/h even if the speed limit is 110 km/h.

Both these situations are only on divided highways with enough lanes to pass me whenever someone wants so I'm not holding up traffic.
