If anyone knows how I can attach the STL I will. Binary - no go. Text - too large (forum is very restrictive on size)

Great idea, very handy tool! I have to open and turn on this same vent fan for the DW every time she showers to remove the shower humidity for the same reason - being too short.
Would have been nice if GD would have placed a remote opener/run switch like the kitchen vent fan.... or atleast offered the upgrade option for one on our RV model.Jim and Annette

What about a high quality velcro? Assuming the tool is light weight, it should stay on during travel, and be removable when fan maintenance is needed.
Suppose even tapping a small (offset center) screw into the bottom of the opening handle on the fan may work as well?
Still may need something to allow them to reach the on/off button though.....Last edited by trailrydr; 03-25-2023 at 06:02 AM.

Those whirligig fans are really worthless. Install a wall mount remote Fantastic fan or a Maxair fan. It will move more air and you won't risk developing mold in the ceiling.

We have the same worthless fan in our bathroom. High speed, lots of noise, and very little air movement. A lot of the air just comes back in alongside the small fan.
I'd like to put in a Maxxair fan or equivalent. The fan vents into a permanent, raised weatherproof hood so no auto hood needed. I just want a multispeed fan with a remote. Any suggestions on Model # and is it a big deal to replace?2021 Solitude 380FL-R

I prefer the Maxxair since is comes with a built in cover thats similar to having a vent cover.
I have 3 of these in my TT. 2 with remotes and the bathroom has the one with a wall switch.
The nice thing about the Maxxair is the lid and cover are one. You don't need to add a vent cover like with the Fantastic Fan.
If you already have a Vent cover then the Fantastic fan would be the way to go but you'll still have to remover the cover to install either so IMO the Maxxair would be simpler.
There's probably other options and pricing.

Hmmm... so the responses give me an idea. I could 3D print a new fan and also a duct or shroud. But for good efficiency what would it look like?
