Connecting Sewer Hose to Recessed Concrete Pad

I am sure you have come across a threaded sewer connection that is mounted in a recessed concrete pad. The recess allows for drainage into the sewer. The problem, that I haven't been able to figure out, is screwing my 90-degree fitting into the sewer connection. Some of the recesses are deep enough that you cannot connect the hose bayonet to the 90-degree fitting. I haven't been able to find a 45-degree fitting with threaded end, which likely would work. I have tried using the 90-degree with the flexible rubber seal to add a little elevation, but it is not as tight as screwing in the fitting.

    Any thoughts on this?

Ask at the campground office. You're likely not the first to face this dilemma.

Been there - done that. What a nuisance!

I carry one of these sewer hose "donuts" for those situations. I can stuff my Rhino sewer end into it and it holds quite well.

We've been to a few cg where there was a few head scratches trying to figure out how I would connect. It's crazy how some of the sewer pipes are installed at some places. Anyway, stumble on this guy, which really helps for those awkward setups. It will even work when a straight connection is required. https://www.amazon.com/Camco-39319-F.../dp/B07FJFZPHL

And then there is the idiot we saw. He pulled his trailer up to the dump station, carefully positioned the dump valve by the sewer, propped the brass cap open, and pulled the handle. No hose.

Some of the dump station that we stop at has the sewer in a square ciment pad with sides in case of accidental spillage I guess like the one pictured below. I always wondered if the there were some with enough brain cells missing that would dump without a hose like you mentioned.
