    Fresh water tank empty upon arrival

    We have filled our Reflection fresh water tank before a trip only to find it empty upon arriving at our destination. It is not leaking but must be escaping through the overflow or pressure relief somehow. This literally prohibits any dry camping for us. Thoughts?

    This has been a frequent issue of discussion on the forum. If you fill the tank until the overflow tube starts to run, that full tube will siphon the water out of the tank after you stop filling. To prevent this, some have installed valves on the overflow tube - but that becomes a real problem if you forget to open it while filling or using the tank. You don't say what model of RV you have (which determines the water panel configuration), but my approach is to fill the tank until the overflow tube starts to run, switch the valves to "Dry Camping," hook up the external shower hose, and run the pump until the overflow stream stops. This empties the tube and prevents siphoning.

    There are a ton of discussions about this here and on the interwebs

    If it is bone dry I would guess you have another issue

    The search function on the forum isn't the best - use this link:

    @Joreyb -

    You're welcome. Since you're new, I should have welcomed you to the forum before - sorry! Here are a few forum tips:

    1) If you use "Reply With Quote" (to the right of "Reply") as I have here, folks will know to whom you are responding and that person will get a notification.

    2) You can also tag folks using the "@" symbol and their user name (as I have done yours) - they'll also get a notification that way.

    3) You can create a signature block with your RV and tow vehicle information (see mine below). That way you won't have to repeat that information whenever you post or ask a question - and others won't have to ask. You can create a signature by going to:

    Forum Actions (on menu bar) -> Edit Profile -> Edit Signature (under My Settings on the left)
