Warm Hello from MN- Done with winter!

Excited to be a part of this community. Just upgraded to an Imagine 2970rl. Retiring May 31 and hitting the road. Our first trip beginning June 9 will be to the Grand Canyon with many stops along the way. My wife has Parkinson's and is losing her vision, so no time like the present. We owned a 2018 Crossroads Sunset Trail 31' with one slide out. With 3 dogs it was too small. LOVE everything about our new TT. I use it for hunting in the fall. With larger capacities for tanks and the extra insulation, I'm already "imagining" hunting this coming fall. Hope to use it bunches. Who knows, we might even use it in the south for part of the winter. In my spare time I train, test and breed Wirehaired Pointing Griffons. My wife loves arts and crafts. Maybe will cross paths with y'all sometime.

Welcome from another Minnesotan! I just got done shoveling 8” of wet heavy snow. I can’t wait for spring to finally get here.

argh! MN!!! We had some dear friends leave here in FL today to head back home up there into the snow. I hope it warms soon for you so you can use that new camper; and enjoy that trip to the Grand Canyon.

I think he is saying it will be too much weight on your RAM. Supposedly on the hitch - I guess. Maybe something else.

Anyway - I got curious and looked and found these specs for a 2017 RAM 1500.....
Towing & Hauling: Max Towing Capacity = 10,150 lbs. Max Payload Capacity 1,700 lbs.

Seems to me you are fine.

I'm near St. Cloud. I think this one put us over on the snowiest winter on record. We had 2" in some places and 2' drifts on the north side of the driveway. That's the worst in 12 years my tractor/blower did. Heavy, wet, wind-packed. Haven't put the shovel away yet.

Thanks. The towing chart lists different weights depending on 2wd 4wd and different configurations of cab size and rear axel ratio. I have the ratio for towing more weight. Have air suspension and good weight distribution hitch, too, which helps.
