    Shower/Spray attachment

I didn't try to use the sprayer/outside shower during PDI. I tried later when not connected to water but I wasn't able to get the hose into either connector (spray or outside shower). It does look like it should fit but it is a plastic connector and I didn't want to break it. I did try pressing in the release while pushing on the connector but that didn't seem to make any difference as the connector wasn't going into the hole. Reading on here, it appears lots of people have issues when the water system is pressurized but mine wasn't. Any chance I got the wrong spray hose somehow from the dealership? Or should I just use more force (would likely try on the spray connector since it appears to be mostly metal)? I can try some Vaseline too but it didn't appear to be a friction issue, just that the plastic connector was just a little too big to fit.

Actually, friction is a big headache with the factory spray hose connector.

Rather than Vaseline, though, use vegetable oil from the kitchen.

It makes less of a mess!

Our takes some hard pushing to get it. Silicone plumber's grease is the best thing to use on those parts - not organic substances.

Thanks for the advice but turns out it is the wrong connector. Camping this weekend and another Grand Design Camper lent us theirs and it works fine. Texted the dealership and they are going to get us a new one.

Wow. Why would the dealer even have this in your unit?

I can think of one reason.

Some dealers will not leave anything in a new unit that can “walk off” and put those parts in storage.

An inattentive technician preparing a unit for delivery might grab the wrong one, not realizing there was a difference.

We have the blue one too and while it has been in the port, I removed it a couple of years ago and have not been able to get it back in. Afraid to visualize how much force it took to get that in. We have not used it that much so not much of an inconvenience for us.

For those of us that do have this issue, could you post the part number of that hose?

Yeah, I will update this when I get it. Hopefully it will have a part number on it. The dealership is an hour away and I didn't feel like driving 2 hours for a hose, so they are having someone bring it up to a location closer when they have time.
