    Wraparound Skirting

Anyone have thoughts (pro or con) on those wraparound skirts I’m seeing on a lot of rigs? Is there a purpose other than keeping cold breezes from cooling the underside/pipes?

The only other purpose I can think of is to make the trailer as ugly as a mud fence.

For those who spend winters in cold places or are on permanent sites, skirting goes a long way toward surviving very cold weather. Aesthetics depend on the type, quality, and fit of the skirting.

Yeah. I’m seeing the vinyl wraparounds and thinking that’s a lot of holes to be putting for the snaps. Sure they have other ways to attach too. I’m trying to chase the sun, so not in need of cold weather protection. Thanks!

Just curious why you would want to add skirting if not for the cold protection. Very hard to make it look anything other than really tacky. And like you say securing it to the trailer results in more issues.
