Slide Cover Door Side of 2670MK Too Close

We’re buying a 2023 2670MK and having the dealer install side covers. They’re letting us know the cover on the door side (over the smaller kitchen slide) can’t be installed because the mounts for slide topper needs to be right where the mount for the awning is located. Has anyone installed slide covers on this model, and if so, was there a work-around or way you made it work?

Slide topper won't fir on the 2670 door side slide because of the main awning coming out over top of that slide.

There isn't enough clearance between the slide flange and main awning to put a slide topper on.

What about partially extending the awning a couple of feet and using that as a slide topper. Would that work?

Until the winds kick up or a thunderstorm moves through! Much less sail area than when fully extended, but still....

Makes sense. What I decided to do with my 2670MK slides is to use an electric blower from Amazon to clear off the slides before pulling them in. Right now I get on the roof to do that. I've also used a piece of PVC pipe with a 90 degree at the top end so I can blow it from the ground when I'm no longer comfortable getting on the roof. I use a mirror on a pole to confirm that everything is clear before closing the slide.
