    375RE Sliding Glass Door

My husband and I are considering the 375RE but are concerned with how the sliding glass doors affect the climate in the RV and the stability of the door while traveling. We would love to hear feedback from anyone that has been traveling in this model. Also how satisfied are you with Grand Design overall. We appreciate any comments. Thanks for your time!

We do not travel with ours but I can answer the climate question. It's a dual pane door and holds the air in pretty well. When its sunny and real hot we put the awning out to keep sun off door or we pull the shade down.. This door is one of the reasons we purchased this floor plan. Hope this helps

The open floorplan along with the slider is why my wife fell in love with this unit. We have ours in the mountains this summer and during the day we open all the windows and doors which allows a breeze to move through the entire unit. At night when the temps fall the unit stays comfortable with the doors and windows closed. The pull down blind for the slider works well blocking out any direct sunlight plus you have the awning outside. We do travel with ours and have not had or seen any issues so far. Hopefully is info helps and we get another 375RE owner on the site...

We bought the 375RE two weeks ago and took it out for Labor day weekend. Temperature was 92 and had the shades up awning out very little shade at site. A/C works great kept temp we set at 66. We were impressed, since or past 5th wheel couldn't keep up in that heat. The sliding door shade was up everyone in our group wanted to spend the afternoon in our camper.

We love our 375RE. The patio door is holding up just fine, even traveling through some pretty awful stretches of roads. We left the screen door on for the trip to the rally and back, it never budged.

Are you supposed to take the screen door off while traveling?

No one told us either way. I was worried it might fly off, but so far so good.

I too was a bit concerned about the screen door blowing off, however, no problems yet. There are screws to adjust door tightness. I just adjuster fo a smooth operation of door and all seems good. I have not, on this forum or the Facebook page, heard of anyone saying there screen door flew off while traveling.
