    Tweaked front crossmember

I was outside this evening inspecting under my frame/underbelly area and noticed the front metal crossbeam appears to be slightly tweaked. Does anyone know if this is structural and or is it bad news? I have a 2800 BH so I will contact Grand Design Monday.

I’ve had this camper one year and this is the first time I crawled under there and inspected that area. So I have no idea if it came from the factory like this.

I have not hit anything and have not done any hard jack knife type back in maneuvers Click image for larger version.

Hope you get the answer for this you want. I don't know about the TT construction bbut it looks pretty thin to be something structural.

I have the same thing. Been watching it for two years now and not getting worse so I don't think it's a big deal. My thought is it's the A-frame flexing on hard roads.

I have it too on our 3100RD. Not getting worse. But watching it. No frame cracks or damage.

Curious what you found out and if there is any fix/resolution.

    Thanks.

I'm pretty sure we've discussed this before and came away thinking it had to do with making sharp turns going either forward or backward. The frame flexes enough to bend that piece.

I'm not sure what to search on bu I'll bet a few good google searches using "mygrandrv.com" "rig model number" and "frame" might produce some results.
