Which Shocks for a 2500 HD?

Which shocks would you recommend for my 2017 Silverado 2500 HD? Would you do both front and back at the same time (the ones on there appear to be original with about 26k miles)? The truck rides OK (quite a bit stiffer than the 1500 we had before) unloaded, but there's more bounce than I'd like when towing.

X2 on the Bilstein. Looking at the same upgrade. My 2019 3500 is hitting 30k.

I did add Timbrins which helped with the towing “Bobbing” big time. It doesn’t affect unloaded ride except for bigger bumps like driveways and speed bumps, bigger potholes. Very stiff going through those.

I agree Bilsteins for front and rear. I put the 4600’s on my 2500, and the 5100’s on my F450!
so for sure I’d do it.
I also added Timbrens to the 2500 and it made a hide difference. I don’t need them on my F450.

I used Bilsteins for years, but recently installed FOX shocks after having them on several JEEPs.

Haven't towed with them on yet, but everyday driving is much less harsh.

Our F150 has the Bilstiens and it did make it ride some what rough, but that was by design as a tow vehicle. Dont want the porpoising while navigating rough semi truck rutted highways and roads.

Unless using my Jeep for on road use, wouldnt have consider the same shocks for my tow rig? Articulation in the offroad world requires some flexibility for manuevering challenging obstacles. Infact we use a special ratioed steering box, dampner and hiem joint suspension on our jeep for offroad use just because of the need for articulation and traction when managing obstacles.

However, our new '23 F250 (we just got) w/camper tow pkg rides rough and could use a dampner as well to help out with stiffer factory built suspension action.

Bilstein 5100's for a heavy duty truck. Not so sure they would be optimal on a 150......

Thanks, everyone, I went to the Bilstein website and it recommended the Bilstein B6 4600 shocks for my truck. Several of you have mentioned the 5100 shocks, which is better?

They are. I Cant understand why a heavy duty built truck would need them either? But hey, just got my super duty and you never know.....
