"That will help tighten up the hitch connection too, but B&W requires a special one."

Not really special, just the thinner lube plate. A standard 1/4" lube plate is going to be too thick.

The reason it needs a thinner plate is a good one. It has thicker jaws than the others.

Nothin' better. I love 'em. All we've used for the last 15 years, in fact the last one was 14 years old.

Back in 2019 I bought a 260RD Fifth Wheel and was using a F250 Diesel short bed to pull it. While this fifth wheel is lighter, I took the truck and RV to a CAT scale. My F250 GVWR was 10,000 lbs and the CAT scale put me at 9890 and I was not fully loaded or had any passengers in the truck. While my F250 pulled the RV, I moved to a F350 2020 with a GVWR of 14,000 lbs. I know your fifth wheel is heavy but do not know the GVWR of your 2020 F250. May be too much weight for the truck. Just a thought. My inproved GVWR made all the difference in the world.

There is such a thing as "launch shutter" that can be caused by driveshaft u-joint wear or misalignment. Too much load causes bed sag and too much, or uneven, u-joint angle from front to rear u-joint. My F250 had this and it was helped by adding airbags to get the bed level again.

I don't know about the chucking, but at 15000 lbs GVWR, you are vastly overloaded. Solitudes are solidly in the 1 ton pickup class IMO.

Any idea why the 7.3L can tow 5,000 pounds more then the diesel, which has twice the torque? But it seems the chassis can do 20,000, so as long as one isn't a hoarder and doesn't travel with tanks full, should be doable.

Diesel platform is heavier so it has less payload.
