Chugging Problem
Fellow RVers;
Purchased a new Solitude 28RK, towing it with 2020 Ford F250 Diesel with B&W companion hitch. When starting to roll it chugs. Not sure what is causing. Please advise.
Thank you all

I don't get any chugging with the Companion. Any chance your trailer brakes are sticking or the brake controller isn't set correctly?Other thought could be loading, is trailer loaded heavy in the rear?

Do you mean "chucking"? Does it do it all the time, just on rough roads, mostly at bridge approaches, just when stopping and/or starting, or all of the above? How much pin weight are you carrying?

Just noticed that while you've been a forum member for some time, this is your first post. Glad to have you with us, and sorry to hear of your towing issue. It looks like several knowledgeable folks have already addressed your issue, a bit more information as some have requested would help us to offer relevant advice.

No airbags. I noticed the back of the truck sags by about 3 inches. I will be getting the air bags this week. Hopefully it fixes the problem. Thanks

I have no issues with my B&W...but I did a lot of chugging in college.

Keeping the fresh water tank at 1/2-2/3 full helps quite a bit on our 310 - acts as ballast to smooth things out a bit. Has the added benefit of taking a few lbs off the pin weight.
