I kind of figured the 165W panel and MPPT charger would keep my battery topped off when I stored my camper for 2+ weeks between outings. But in what appears to me that the wiring isn't connected how I would have. When the battery is disconnected using the battery disconnect in the storage bay, the charger isn't connected to the battery? Figured okay, maybe that is by design but then I checked the electric tongue jack and it still has power? Is that pretty standard?

Anyone modify their camper to put the solar on the other side of the battery disconnect to keep it topped off during storage? Or do people completely disconnect the battery from the trailer and use a small panel to keep it topped off?

I just have the dealership supplied lead acid battery, nothing special yet.
