    Help me decide....

Hey ya'll, Ive narrowed my search down to 2 units

    1. 2021 397TH with all the standard options including washer/dryer plus 7YR EXT Warranty

    2. 2022 397TH No washer/dryer and no ext warranty

Both are the same price which would you choose?

I've heard a lot of people say to get a 2022+ due to the new rhino frame and the whole frame flex issue but the 2021 does have 5 years of warranty left on it.

    Thanks,

    Chad

    The warranty is worthless

Agree, don't base your purchase on the warranty. Is the 2022 new or used? I'm assuming the 2021 is used. How do the roof seals look, suspension still look good, or is it rusty with flat springs? Washer is about $1600 (assuming combo unit) or so plus install unless you do it yourself, I wouldn't base the purchase on the washer either. Is it a 2021 with the new changes, or an older 2021? If it didn't have the new changes (bedroom closet, counter next to stove, not sure what others) I would definitely go with the 2022.

They are both used however the 2022 doesn't appear to be used very much as it still has the factory stickers on the stove and fridge. The 2022 was a bank repo, the 2021 people are FT in it. I'm waiting on more pics of the 2021 to confirm updates.

Am I right in assuming all 2022 have the new rhino frame. GD and Lippert both when called say they cant answer that ? even when given a frame number. Crazy they can't tell me when GD implemented the new frame design

Just make sure that you have enough truck for either one of those units......as in a Dually with 5000+ lbs of payload capacity. The 397TH is well know to be pin heavy and if they are loaded up, you can easily see 4000+ lbs of pin weight. By your signature, although you don't state specifically, it appears that you may have a SRW truck and not a Dually.

If the 5 Yr Warranty was all GD, it might be something, but if it is aftermarket, that is ALOT of time at the shop waiting for approvals, and alot of time fighting with a 3rd party.
I would get the 2022 if it were me.

Theres also a 2021 with the 8k axles and disc brakes for the same price. Again not sure its a problem to get a 2021 without the rhino frame.

The upgraded axles is attractive. I don't know when GD swapped to the Rhino Box. If you call GD with the VIN they could probably provide better info.
