No one is saying it “isn’t capable” or it will self destruct just stating facts

I just pulled a weigh ticket out of the file cabinet for my Dually and my Momentum. Front axle of the truck by itself and no trailer attached, CAT scale weight....5260 lb. Same day, 15 minutes later with the trailer hooked up, front axle CAT scale weight....5240 lbs

    It's irrelevant.....he's legally overloaded.

Lets stir the pot a little

Can anyone site the federal "Law"/"Regulation" and article number that states the GVWR must not be exceeded. I'm not saying there is not one. But I have not seen it when it come to private motor vehicles. For commercial vehicles there definitely is.

Keep in mind, manufactures recommendations are not law/regulations.

You sound like you are speaking from a person also “overloaded”

Most 3/4 ton diesels are over payload when towing a 5er . Seem the only ones worried are people on these forums. Not saying that it right to tow over payload.

It's possible the people on this forum are worried because they know what can happen, and the end result. Perhaps the people towing those trailers are grievously unaware.

That is why I mentioned the op was overloaded because in his spreadsheet he has his truck at only 93 percent capacity when in fact it is over
    I think most are unaware

So there isn’t a limit to what you should tow with a particular vehicle?
