    2600rb brake assembly

Hello, I need one right side brake assembly but am confused while looking up the part. E trailer shows the proper one I’m looking for but it states it’s for a 3500# axle. My axles are dexter #4400. Etrailer shows a different looking assembly than what I need to replace.
So has anyone changed them out and have a part number? My brake assembly has one horizontal upper spring. And trailer claims that’s for a 3500# axle. The 4400# axles have two diagonal upper springs. Thanks

You should have a tag, if it's a Dexter axle anyway, on the axle itself that will provide you with all the info you need to rebuild any part of that axle. You may have to crawl underneath to access it though.

Contact Dexter with that number, and they'll supply with you with all the information you need. I did that for the axles under our old Fuzion.

Thank you all for your help. As I was looking up a parts dealer near me I discovered there is a dexter trailer part store 1.4 miles away. Jackpot.

Just make sure you have Dexter axles. My 2022 has Lippert axles.

How easy are these to change out? Is it just 4 bolts and the wires? Do the new bearings need to be greased?

Easy. Four bolts, connect wires, and adjust. You CAN do the bearings while you have everything apart, since that's convenient, but it's not necessary.

Mine too. The brakes on mine are identical to the 3500 lb axle units. In fact, when I needed warranty replacements on one axle, that's what Lippert replaced them with.
