    Awning adjustment.....How to....

    Hello,
I don't want to force things and I cannot figure out how to adjust our awning for pitch and/or lowering a little. We have a 2022 Carefree awning with the "knob" adjustment in lieu of the buttons for adjustment. Owners manual is worthless to me. It only talks about being 5 notches different max, which applies to the other style. I don't want to break anything so I am asking. I tried to adjust without using much force to no avail. Does awning need to be fully extended, partially, etc in order to adjust? Any tips appreciated.

If you could post a picture of the awning extended it might be helpful.
    Thanks

I found on my Carefree awning that to do an adjustment, I had to furl the awning in to about 15 inches of the stored position to take pressure off the arms. Without doing that, there was to much pressure (weight pushing down) to make and adjustment.

The lighting is not ideal, but here is a pic. Sorry, pic is rotated and I have no idea how to fix it.

Have you tried grabbing it right about where it is even with the front of the slide out and gently pulling down? It looks like where the white section (closer to the trailer) connects to the darker, larger section there is a bolt connecting them so the angle between the two pieces can change which would lower that end of the awning. Don't pull too hard and/or blame me if it doesn't work.
We have a different awning but this is how we adjust ours.
    Good luck.

Loosen the knurled knob, pull down on the awning, retighten the knob. It works best to pull down on the awning tube itself. The gas strut tries to push the awning up so you have to pull hard enough to overcome that.

I have the same awnings...just loosen that black knob and pull down on the awning so that slot sides further up into it and retighten the knob. It's also best to stake your awnings down and provide a tension spring (or bungee cord) at the bottom. Here's a picture of mine tilted & staked down along with your pictures oriented correctly. BEFORE you post a picture open it up in whatever program you use and edit it in some small way, crop it a little and rotate it correctly and save it. Then when you post it on here it will be oriented exactly like you saved it.
