Have them and they are also good on gravel. They widen the stance of the factory pads a bit. If I need to shorten the leg length, I put some levelers under the snap pads but haven't had to do that much and coach feels stable.

I also use the Anderson UH, so I need the buckets, at least on the mid and front jack points. Hitching/unhitching requires the nose to go up quite a lot. I carry 6 buckets, but almost never use them on the back jacks. Maybe 2x snap pads are in order for us! I use a couple 12" 2x10 blocks for the rear now - don't want them on the ground.

    Why not on the ground?

2 reasons: shorter distance to extend, better stability and less work for the hydraulics (maybe), and keep them straight and from getting beat up by gravel, uneven ground, etc.

Side note/warning about putting too much stuff under the front gears, if you have the hydraulic auto-level:
The auto-level will stop and throw an error if the nose cannot first drop a few degrees below level.

I have the snap pads. I think they are a waste of money. Also, I had two freeze to the ground this past winter. Not sure if they will go back on or not.

Yes, those are my reasons too.

Mine did that several times at first, but since I've started raising the front up a little higher when unhitching, I've not had it happen. Maybe just the luck of the draw so far.

We had the red buckets initially, then my wife wanted to try snap pads and we have used them for 1.5 years, I put the orange rectangles underneath the snappads - which can still freeze. TBH, I like either one, personal opinion is that I'd stick with Anderson buckets if I had to do it over again.

I’ve had the Andersen buckets for the front jacks on our 337RLS little over a year. I really like them. They eliminate most of the trailer wiggle due to less leg extension. Fir the backs I have a few 1 foot 1x6s.
