Schwintek thumping sound

They had a recall on those. They replaced mine and it is so much better. Be sure to send the information to GD with model and serial number of your unit for them to check and see if yours falls into time period.

Garbage system, especially on the larger slides. My wife and I checked out the 2023 version of our Imagine 2500 RL at a dealership, and noticed that GD did away with the Swine-Tech and are using the way more reliable rack and pinion system.

First time early April when we retrieved the 310 from the dealer and I deployed the bedroom slide, what a loud thumping sound it made for about half the distance. When deploying, you can hear it mainly inside. When retracting, you can hear it outside but not as loud. Less noticeable since it warmed up, but I'm seeing some wear marks and chafing on the lower racks but they are clean. Doubt if anything has ever been lubricated based upon the yes/no/yes/no guidance from LCI/GD. Always had the thumping noise since delivery but this time it was much worse. I had thought it was the rollers (one feels like it has a really small casting seam), but now I'm wondering about gear mesh with the racks? Long trip coming up.

Lippert is replacing the Schwintek if manufactured 2012-2022. We are just getting ours replaced.

Really? They are replacing the Schwintech slide motors under recall? I am taking my 2017 Imagine 2500RL in to the dealership in August, I will definitely ask about this.

In think there is definitely a year range on that, not 10 years. I think it is like 2019 - 2023.

Someone double check me on that.
