Dash mounting a Garmin RV890, Furrion Monitor, & Tireminder i10

After 18 months of windshield mounted accessories when towing along with cables hanging all over the dash, decided to take the deep dive into a ball mount system with hardwired 12v and USB power cables for my 2021 F150.

This is with the devices removed and the wires tucked under the mount. There are two USBs and two 12v quick connectors.

I have the Haloview in the hole in the top of the dash and the Garmin 890 at the base of the windshield on the passenger side with the copilot in charge of it.

I put the Garmin on the middle of the dash, the Furrion camera in the lower left of the driver side windshield, and the TST TPMS on the Passenger side windshield - Co-Pilot in charge of it. Gives her something else to do other than telling me how to drive...

I wrapped a strong rubber band around my Furion monitor and my Tireminder I10 monitor and wrap them around my rear view mirror. Keeps them up and out out of the way, the logical place for a rear view too and can glance at the tire pressures easily.

My ball mounts are a Garmin RV890 and an old iPhone 6 running ForScan lite to monitor some engine/transmission functions I like to keep an eye on.

I don't see where it is any worse than multiple real gauges, instead of idiot lights.

They're just bigger and easier to see.

And easier to see means they're easier to look at, which takes attention away from the road. Up in that area, they catch the eye and draw your attention to them. IMO fewer distractions are better.

I have my garmin 890 mounted in a cup holder in the console and tire minder also in the console. Small camera monitor is only thing on the dash just below the rear view mirror. I don’t want stuff blocking my view.
